Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Our first session was pretty basic. I gave the student a basic review lesson of some of the things that he had covered previously in his class and in his test. The student seemed to have a good working knowledge of basic verb conjugation, expressions of time, and very basic use of gustar. We will continue to work on speaking/comprehension. I gave the student some study strategies for vocabulary and we reviewed some vocabulary from his next lesson. It was a good session."
"Today I helped the student study for his semester final on chapters 1-3. Since we had just recently worked on chapter three, we reviewed all the vocab for chapters one and two, as well as the exams. I told him to make flashcards for the vocab words that didn't come to him immediately, especially the prepositions."
"Today we worked on the concepts of pluralization. I taught her multiple ways plurals are expressed in ASL and practiced some of these through sentences and questions. I then taught her some new vocabulary and had a conversation including those words. The student then practiced asking questions. While she has the vocabulary down, she continues to need work on the facial expressions that show grammar."
