Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We covered proportionality and similarity between different triangles and rectangles. We also reviewed proofs and definitions, in addition to reviewing for the student's quiz."
"Discussed a homework assignment and a worksheet. Complementary, supplementary, and vertical angles. Distance formula."
"We worked on a lot of textbook problems from chapter 1. The student is very prepared for her test (and it showed...she got a 102!)."
"The student has an exam tomorrow in Geometry, and he asked to review the major subjects that have been covered recently. We reviewed parallel lines and the angle that they form, and he excelled and did very well from memory. We then began to discuss the topics that were more recently covered. We spent the majority of our session reviewing bisectors and triangles and how concurrent points are different dependent upon which bisectors are used. We did some visual exercises by drawing triangles using a straightedge and a square (90 degree angle) to draw triangles with concurrent points. He stated that he will study some more at home to make sure that he understands the topics more thoroughly."
"The student and I reviewed postulates, theorems, and properties of angles and sides in order to solve proofs. She had four worked out proofs that we reviewed."
"The student and I reviewed material on geometric proofs, including corresponding angles and alternate exterior angles. There were a few problems requiring algebra and a couple of word problems. He slid through the material smoothly, with a solid understanding of the concepts. He reported a good feeling about the last test, although he hadn't received his score back yet."
