Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I reviewed his past exam material regarding fractions. We then continued to practice multiplying and dividing variables with exponents. This single topic covered a vast variety of topics he has worked on throughout the year and he was able to combine his knowledge and apply it to this subject."
"I helped the student to complete all the math assignments for the week. We solved for polynomials, simplified/multiplied/added radicals, wrote expressions in radical forms, simplify rational exponents and stated if addition/subtraction/multiplication/division of the set of numbers are rational numbers."
"Today we started working on Chapter 10 and mostly went through the student's homework problems. We also briefly talked about his test on the last chapter, so congratulations to him on his 92%. We got through one entire homework lesson, and then part of another one and he progressively picked up the materials as we moved through. His overall algebraic and problem solving skills have greatly improved since we began tutoring. I encourage him to keep practicing problems, and doing his homework regularly in between session to keep up the good work."
"We went over some concepts we had already covered, including the area and perimeter formulas for triangles and rectangles and division of decimals, especially dividing decimals by decimals."
"The student continues to use her whisper phone during our time together. We also worked on math, two- and three-digit numbers, adding and subtracting. She continues to do a super job in math. She worked hard today and continues to have a great attitude."
"The student and I practiced more multiple-choice word problems that she has struggled with since we first met. We practiced multiplication strategies that could help her arrive at the best answer during the test. I reminded her that she has unlimited time on the test and she should use that time wisely like she did on last week's reading test. I left her with word problems with varied operations to practice."
