Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We reviewed complex numbers in a+bi and trigonometric form. The student is doing very well understanding the concepts and will continue to improve to an achievement level that matches his high intelligence."
"Covered rational functions, polynomial long division. The student's progressing very well. Assigned homework practice."
"The student and I worked on converting radian to degrees and back, finding angles or arc lengths in circles and coterminal angles."
"In today's session, we worked on practice physics problems for the student's final tomorrow. Topics dealt mostly with kinematics, forces, and conservation of energy. He did need me to help him complete many of the problems, but I think he will be able to do well on his final with a little more practice."
"This is our last session before the student's final. His teacher gave him review notes of the entire semester. We reviewed the notes and wrote down the sections that he had trouble with in the past. We then went through his old homework and reworked problems. Since his homework is generated online we were also able to generate similar problems so we didn't have to rehash old problems. The concepts we covered this session were trig proofs, angular speed problems, graphs of trig functions, half angle/ double angle/ product to sum/ sum to product formulas, and inverse trig functions. We found a mistake in his old notes with the formulas for angular speed. This was a good catch for the final exam. He is in a good position for this final. He is very confident with the material. The concepts he should spend the most time with before the final would be graphs of tan()/cot(), and angular speed problems. Everything else he seems very strong on."
"We covered finding the exact trig solutions for the radian degrees on the unit circle, sin, cos, tan, csc, sec, and cot. We also went over her homework, which was some review problems from the previous chapter."
