"The student did not do well on some of her quizzes earlier in the course, so we reviewed that material with her PowerPoint programs and notes."
"In our session on Tuesday the student and I continued the preparation that we started last week. This time we focused on Chapter 2 of his class. I 'quizzed' him on the keywords and questions and classified each based on his response. While we went through them he made flash cards that he could use later. I added a new step this time: After each page of material that we covered I grabbed the flash cards and reviewed. I then put the cards into two piles - 'pretty good' and 'needs practice'. I think these classifications are helpful because they affirm/encourage him on the material that he knows well and the material that he should focus on. Before we ended our session, I ensured that he could replicate the process with the final two chapters of review."
"The student has a test tomorrow over pedigree analysis and chromosomal abnormalities. He is very confident in reading a pedigree. He had a couple questions over how trisomy disorder come about but was able to grasp the concept pretty well."
