Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I reviewed a homework and worksheet covering properties of functions and domain & range. He appears to have a solid understanding of that material, particularly the domain & range topics that have been covered so far. We moved on to cover linear equations."
"The student and I studied for her upcoming quiz on constructions. We also reviewed past material in preparation for her test on Friday."
"Reviewed homework on midpoint formula, discussed difference between midpoint and distance formulae."
"The student and I went through properties of metals (malleability, conductivity, ductility) as they related to delocalized electrons. We also covered naming covalent compounds, and found a great site for practice. We went through the problems together, and she did a great job with them. We still have a lot to cover before her test on Wednesday, but I am sending her an email with some material to review before we meet again, including some great videos on Lewis dot structures. As always, she was a pleasure to work with."
"The student worked on an assignment on circumcenters and incenters of triangles. He had a tough time with keeping straight all of the terminology, like bisectors for example. For whatever reason, he struggles much more with angles than line segment lengths. I showed him the line segment analogs to concepts involving angles; he seemed to understand better after I did so."
"My first session with this student went really well. We went over his review and then looked at questions in his textbook. He seemed to have a very good grasp on the concepts, and just needed a little direction on writing out the proofs. Overall this session went well. He is very smart and I was pleased to see that he was prepared and had a list of questions he wanted addressed."
