Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We reviewed homework (a bit trickier than usual) on transformations of the greatest integer function. Then we went over notes for the next week on inverses, which the student seemed to grasp pretty well."
"We went over graphing polar coordinates and writing those coordinates as rectangular coordinates. We also went over converting polar equations to rectangular equations and vice versa."
"We covered trigonometry word problems and encompassed a lot of the topics we have covered in previous sections."
"Since the student entered a new school, we spent most of today's session revisiting topics her class in her old school did not cover but her new school did. Specifically, we covered trigonometry of general (i.e. not right) triangles, and laws of sines and cosines as well as surface area of these triangles."
"We worked on test prep for tomorrow's exam. We studied everything we've worked on the last two weeks, with the addition of oblique asymptotes, end behavior, partial fractions, and function "holes." Extra practice is for the student to just go over everything one more time before tomorrow's exam. I think he will do great on the exam."
"The student and I met to go over the new topics in her class to prepare for her upcoming quiz. The main topics we went over included exponential functions: graphing, plotting as well as converting to logarithmic form. She is definitely getting more comfortable working with these types of functions, and with a bit more practice she will be able to handle any type of question."
