Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today we covered graphing polar and rectangular coordinates and tests for symmetry. We also reviewed for the test tomorrow. We covered how to convert from rectangular to polar expressions and vice versa, and also covered how to graph these on normal x-y axis and polar axis."
"Work on his homework set involving polynomial factoring with long division, synthetic division, factor theorem and remainder theorem."
"We went over her last exam and the questions she got wrong. Then we went over imaginary numbers in trig functions."
"Today, we completed the review of the student's upcoming test tomorrow on trigonometric and inverse trigonometric functions. We specifically reviewed the unit circle and learned of the importance of the domain and range of these functions. We graphed transformations of inverse trig functions and solved word problems. The student still needs to review the unit circle, but is doing an excellent job creating figures for word problems."
"We had an excellent session today. We covered trigonometric work problems, finding vector components, graphing trigonometric functions, finding average rates of change, and evaluating complex trigonometric expressions. The student had a great attitude towards the material, and showed a strong mastery over the subject. My biggest tip for her upcoming test would be to make sure she double checks her work slowly, as she is prone to solving problems too fast and as a result can make small errors."
"The student and I solved trigonometric equations using trig substitutions and identities for today. She understands all the steps and does well. Her only issue was figuring out which substitution will get her to the answer in the shortest amount of time."
