"The student and I covered Key Issue 2 from the Political Geography chapter of his textbook. The student was most confused by the nuances of the transition from the USSR to Russia and the ethnic conflicts that arose after the USSR fell. We went over these questions and he has a firm grasp on them. The student was very confident on the Colonization subchapter, and he only had a couple questions that we quickly answered there. He's going to read Key Issue 3 and possibly 4 as well before our meeting on Sunday."
"The student brought a new unit on American Romanticism and Transcendentalism to our session. We reviewed the instructional packet, researched the online site, and discussed the historical and literary antecedents to the Romantic movement in Europe and the United States."
"We continued to work on a poem together briefly. I then tested his idioms knowledge - he had 86% of his idioms correct. We then studied Maryland's colonial history. We concluded by reading a section of realistic fiction, the story Just Grace."
