"The student and I did our final review for his test on Chapter 7 - "Ethnicities" in his textbook. His test is on Friday, so we reviewed all the key terms, he explained all the Key Issues at length to me, and then we concluded the lesson with two essay questions. One of these essay questions was from a former AP exam, while one was written by me to cover many of the issues presented across the chapter. He has a really strong handle on almost everything and I think he'll do great come Friday. My only advisement to him is to review the information on Genocide and Ethnic Cleansing on Africa."
"We covered the differences between developing and developed countries- specifically focusing on Countries GDP, Life Expectancy and Urban Population percentages. We focused our session on the student's essay that focuses on this topic. She is also struggling with writing thesis and topic sentences so we incorporated writing practice in our session as well. I encouraged her to keep all her quizzes and tests to review for her final. The student had a geography quiz today, and I asked her to bring the quiz with her to our next session. I'm looking forward to working with the student this semester!"
"The student and I worked on preparing for his FRQs for AP human geography, reviewing the three major topics that are going to be assessed. Although there were some ideas to iron out, by the end of the session, he had a very clear understanding of how to approach each problem. As always, I sincerely enjoyed this session and found it very productive. I look forward to meeting with him again soon!"
