Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We began by covering logarithmic functions, discussing exponent rules. We then moved to Spanish where we covered more comparatives, superlatives and the correct uses of algo, nada, siempre, nunca, etc. The student seemed very comfortable with all of the material."
"The student and I started the session with the vocabulary. He got 87% correct out of 136 notecards! I was very impressed because he studied his words. We then did two mini activities to review reflexive verbs and 'ser' and 'estar'. He is very comfortable with both concepts so we moved on to possessive adjectives. I had him do a translation that involved possessive adjectives and then we corrected it. He did a good job at translating. I left him with homework to be completed by Wednesday when I see him next."
"The student needed to prepare for a quiz that she will take on 2/27 covering the topics of the present subjunctive and affirmative and negative commands. She had a basic understanding of the material, but struggled to grasp the concept of how to conjugate certain verbs in the command forms. I showed her a strategy to help her easily conjugate these verbs, based on the -ar , -ir, and -er endings. After creating examples for her to complete, and reviewing the materials provided by her teacher, her performance in this area greatly improved."
