Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"During this session we went over composite functions and finding the domain and range. The student seemed to have a good grasp on the concepts. By the end of the session she was able to handle all the problems. Overall this session went well."
"Covered topics covered from the beginning of the class (factoring, synthetic division, graphing polynomials) and reviewed trig material to prepare for the student's semester exam."
"We went over solving problems involving polynomial equations. By the end of the session, the student demonstrated that she was able to solve the problems correctly."
"Today we covered parabolic functions and logarithms. The logarithm rules are difficult in the beginning, but I reminded the student that it just takes practice to master them. I showed her an alternate method to solve for the vertex of a parabola that is a little bit easier than the "completing the square" method. She still needs to practice everything before her exam to ensure a good grade, so I highly encouraged doing so."
"I went over quadratic forms, including conic sections, and systems of quadratic equations with the student and worked some problems with her. She has a decent understanding of what needs to be done and how to work these problems."
"The student and I went over his homework problems. He was comfortable with most of it, and we talked in depth on the topics of domain and range. He is good with the algebra involved. We ran into a few challenges during the word problems, but we worked through them."
