Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student had no homework for us to go over so we reviewed the use of the subjunctive mood vs. the indicative mood. We reviewed the tell tale signs that indicate when yo use the subjunctive and when to use the indicative. We also reviewed the vocabulary that the student has learned over the past 2 or 3 weeks - all focusing on the job search, occupations, and the work place."
"We reviewed the student's vocabulary again, and he has made improvement! It was evident that he at studied his notecards that he had for homework, because he did much better on translating words today than the last session. I assigned him more homework which included to continue the notecards with the words, and to review the "Student's Cheat Sheet" document that I have begun, with running concepts that are helpful to be all in one place."
"By reading a passage we uncovered old vocabulary that the student has forgotten along the way. We reviewed these words, and I assigned homework on them. Also, we worked on comprehension of text without knowing the translation of every word, allowing for the use of context to help with a general understanding."
