"We touched base about his perceived strengths and weaknesses and his goals for the SAT. Today we decided to focus on the Critical Reading section. Using the study guide, we covered Sentence Completion strategies including vocab development, word relationships, context/definitions, and answering/elimination techniques. After some practice, we moved on to short passages - focusing on elements of passages (main idea, author/perspective, context/audience, purpose, tone/style) and how to interpret reading comprehension question types as well as choosing the "strongest" answer and how this is different from "accurate" or "good" answers.
