Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today, the student worked on a review sheet that he was given by his teacher for an upcoming test. The material was a bit more difficult than we have tackled previously this term; specifically, there were problems about domain, range as well as several tricky function application problems. We were able to finish the worksheet and will be able to continue to practice before the test."
"We went over equations of various conics and went over how interpret the equations in their various forms. We covered how to graph the important features of a parabola, such as the center, focus, and directrix. We also reviewed how to complete the square and how to group variables for solving eventual equations. The student was able to complete the assignment successfully by the end of the session."
"The student and I went over the remaining half of his Study Guide for the final last term and he took detailed notes. Some of the topics he remembered covering in the past, so this was a good refresher for him. He took notes on each of the problems and I made sure to go over each problem thoroughly to make sure he understood each step. I told him to review his notes and try to do the problems again to check his knowledge so that he can do well on the final."
"The student was given a review packet to prepare for his upcoming test over the algebra techniques he has been practicing lately. Tonight, he and I worked through the first two-thirds of it together. Fortunately, he showed excellent retention of the properties we have been practicing, only needing my assistance sparingly."
"We worked on Physics problems for the duration of the session. The class had just gone over thermodynamics. He finished the homework problems and together we looked at some real world applications of the concepts."
"The student and I studied the laws of sines and cosines from Chapter 8 today, as we prepared for his next exam scheduled for Friday."
