Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I reviewed her homework and identified some problem areas. We also worked on her study sheet for her final exam. Overall, she is doing well, and she works very diligently to relearn the material"
"The student and I worked on Chapter 5, section 1 and 2, which covers midsegments, angle and perpendicular bisectors, incenters and circumcenters. We worked out homework problems involving incenters and circumcenters to understand that the incenter is equidistant from the sides of a triangle and the circumcenter is equidistant from the vertices."
"I began with a couple of warm-up problems to test the student's retention of the material we covered last time. After that we worked through several problems on the chapter test on similarity, then made flash cards for a few formulas. He still struggles with two-column proofs because he is quite lazy about showing his work, but he seems to comprehend most of the concepts in the chapter well."
"We met from 4-5:30pm. We briefly touched on chapter 9, translations, glide transitions, etc. But he was confident on it so instead we focused on the chapter reviews. We looked over his work on Chapters 1-5 and continued to working on Chapters 5-8. Overall he did very well, we made a few notes for topics to review and I had him do Chapters 9-12 review for me on Monday."
"The student was reviewing how to manipulate exponential expressions. We went through several worksheets of problems to hone his skills. By the end, he was fairly proficient at simplifying and manipulating those expressions."
"The student and I covered the section on parallel lines and angles. We then did some review problems for his final exam."
