Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Our session today focused on finishing up the student's class project. We talked about all of the necessary steps for her 2 proportion z test, and she completed the hypothesis test easily. I think she will do very well on this project."
"We focused mostly on standard variation and z-scores, concepts the student struggled with during the semester, while reviewing for her final. She had a study packet from her teacher that included plenty of questions to work with."
"This was our last session together and we reviewed the entire semester's worth of material. I left him with some study problems and worksheets from websites. I have confidence that he will do well on his final tomorrow."
"Continued reviewing material in preparation for the course final exam. Topics included hypothesis testing of a sample mean with respect to a provided population mean, and linear regression computation and interpretation."
"We went over a review sheet for his final in statistics. Specifically, we worked on hypothesis testing. The student had a fairly firm grasp on the material, but just wanted to have a double check on his analysis."
"Today we went over the normal distribution for the first time. I taught the student in depth how to compute the areas under normal curves. We did a few practice examples, and discussed the ideas for a while before everything started clicking for him. We went over z scores and how to read the normal table as well as the greater implications of what all the numbers really means for our data analysis. We briefly touched on the central limit theorem today. We went over the formula and the basics as well as one example."
