Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I reviewed for his math final and covered conic sections, trig functions, and the trig identities. He learned how to solve trig equations, and then we moved on to the unit circle, and simplifying complex fractions."
"Today we completed a review of all topics that the student had questions on, and reviewed other material for a second time."
"Today we reviewed radicals and factoring polynomials, which the student learned a few weeks ago. We then reviewed a recent quiz she had taken. She is doing great, and she catches on quickly."
"The student has a midterm exam coming up this week, so we reviewed as many topics as possible in our session. We began with transforming statements into algebraic equations. Then, we moved on to properties, such as commutative and distributive property. Next, we reviewed PEMDAS. He did well on almost everything. He needs to continue to practice adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing integers."
"We used this time to go over studying tips, organization skills, and things to discuss with the student's teachers in an attempt to figure out why some of his grades were missing. He is almost done with classes for the semester, and he had one last assignment due in Algebra. We spent around 30 minutes on organization skills, discussion points, etc., and then moved to working on his homework. We covered general algebra skills and spent most of the time reviewing the homework. He remained positive and did very well overall. I am eager to see how he did on his final, as he believes it went well and felt good about it."
"We covered factorization and vertex form equations. We also reviewed material for next week's exam. I recommended the student do more practice problems. She has an exam next week, and she seemed to be ready for it."
