"The student was assigned homework for the evening, which he had already begun. The homework consisted of finding the value of all other trigonometric functions, given the value of only one and information on the quadrant location of the reference angle. The homework also included finding the area of triangles and circular sectors."
"We covered a review sheet for the student's quiz tomorrow. We looked at graphs of sine and cosine functions and compositions of them, and also looked at graphs and determined the function from just looking at the graph. We did some inverse functions and some word problems, and talked about damped oscillation either at 0 or infinity. He seems to understand the concepts and we reviewed everything a couple of times. I gave him a couple extra problems, too, for homework."
"The student completed his homework assignment on the law of sines and applying it to solve the dimensions of triangles. He had some trouble at first with the algebra involved in the calculation, but with practice he began working independently. I also gave him a few tips on how to approach the problems in the most efficient ways"

"We continued working with vectors both in component form, magnitude and direction form, and unit vector form. We found the vertical and horizontal components of a vector using the endpoints. We practiced adding, subtracting, and scaling vectors both algebraically and graphically. We looked at adding vectors using both the parallelogram method and the tip-to-tail method. We practiced finding the angle between two vectors using the dot product and the magnitude of the vectors. We also looked at how to find the dot product using the magnitudes and the angle between them. Lastly, we practiced finding the projection of a vector onto another vector. The student is doing well adding and subtracting vectors by components algebraically and she is getting better at combining them graphically. She is also doing better working with the unit vector form of a vector and calculating the dot product of two vectors."
"We worked more with the unit circle. The student understood it after explanation, and I would recommend finishing her homework very shortly after our session to increase her chance of retention through repetition."
