He is starting to do quite well and was able to complete most of the problems that we did with little to no help. It is good to see."
"During the tutoring session we worked on the student's homework and some extra practice problems. We will be doing the algebra assessment next week in order to determine where he is with his algebra abilities. The problems he worked on involved coverage of theorems regarding congruent angles formed by traversals through parallel lines, vertical angles, complements and supplements of interior and exterior angles to triangles, and exterior and interior angles of polygons, to name a few. He seemed to have a solid comprehension of this week's material and I am confident of his ability in this area."
"We spent the first 45 minutes working on French and focusing on the demonstrative adjectives ce, cet, cette, and ces. After I explained the adjectives to the student, we did a few exercises in the her French book together. We then spent the second half of the session on centroids in Geometry. We went over how to find the length of the median of a triangle, congruency, and the distance and midpoint formulas. For each area, we did some problems together in a worksheet."
"We covered how to calculate different properties of triangles graphically including how to find the circumcenter, orthocenter, and centroid. We worked through the problems and verified our answers using a couple different methods. The student has a strong grasp of the fundamentals but will need to write out everything we talked about in a neat format to cement understanding."
"We reviewed Ch 4 with triangle properties. Student has a good definitional understanding of the different types of triangle and the properties of each (scalene, isosceles, and equilateral). Did some practice problems to test students learning and he did very well. Ending with previewing the upcoming sections dealing with proving triangles congruent using SSS and SAS."
"Today, we covered the student's practice test before her chapter 5 test. I was able to work with her and reteach several concepts. She took notes and we did several practice problems to make sure that she understood what she would be tested on. There are no concerns and I made sure to ask if she had any questions."

"The student and I started on his geometry homework which covered proving that triangles are congruent by the SSS and SAS postulate. We finished about half of his homework. This material is fairly new to the student and he is still struggling to fully grasp the concepts but is definitely making progress."
"Met with the student and we covered how to find the radius, diameter, and circumference of various arc lengths in circles. He appears to catch onto the concepts of solving the mathematics problems rather quickly. He has been encouraged to slow down and talk aloud when completing the problems as a form of selfmonitoring to keep him on task. The student reports the sessions are helpful and has seen some improvement in school."
"The student is currently studying Chapter 4.6; tonight we worked on his personalized question worksheet provided by his teacher as well as pg 196 #14. He has his next test on Monday that covers Chapter 4 (he thinks). The student is currently studying Chapter 7.1. We worked on his homework assignment pg 300 #10, 1215 & 18. Both students are showing much more confidence in their grasp of the subject material. Even when stumped they are not afraid to ask for clarification. We have been working on methods to help deconstruct complex diagrams or problems (i.e. visualize and sketch overlapping figures so that they do not overlap)."
