Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today we used the lecture format to discuss World War I from the perspective of U.S. involvement. She just began the introduction of this material in Chapter 22, so this was the most beneficial method for discussion. Her next test will be on only this chapter, and her class will be focusing on it for two weeks, so the student should find it helpful to have a comprehensive understanding of the event before learning the detailed minutiae of the War and its peace talks. She stated she should have he scores from her previous test some time this week. When asked, the student said she believed she did well on this test (Chapters 21 and 22). Although we did not get to begin our comprehensive review of the year, I have encouraged the student to begin reviewing her Period 1 notes, as we will begin discussing these periods, when time allows, during our sessions."
"The student began working on his report and the website design for his upcoming assignment that is due next week. I was very impressed with his decision making ability when he chose to switch his topic."
"Progressive Era Politics into the Great Depression. This chapter has a large amount of important content, as much of it tends to appear on the AP test. We covered as much as possible. We are going to meet later this week to cover the rest of it."
