Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today we went over finding the rational and complex roots of a polynomial. By the end of the session, the student demonstrated that she was able to perform the exercises correctly."
"Tonight, the student and I did our last review for his test on sequences and series. The student had forgotten a couple of important concepts, but by the end of the session he was able to perform well on the review assignment."
"The student has just begun going over circles, so we reviewed a worksheet on arc length and the area of a sector."
"The student and I discussed how to review for her upcoming test. I encouraged her to look at the cumulative review exercises. We also worked together on a homework assignment about graphing rational functions."
"The student and I reviewed Half-Angle, Double_Angle, Sum, and Difference identities. We worked through one packet of problems, and we will pick up with the second packet Thursday night. He is picking up proofs quickly. We discussed a couple of approaches to solving proofs."
"The student has homework on graphing rational expressions. Her class is now taking all the graph analyzing skills she has done in class to the next level by teaching her how to graph from scratch. This includes how to find both vertical and horizontal asymptotes, x and y intercepts, removable discontinuity, and the constant value k. She took her time to understand the lesson, then, once again, was able to do most of her homework correctly. I only helped correcting small errors, and I gave her extra tips along the way while she was doing it. She is a fast learner and is always trying her best to finish her assignments correctly. Overall, it was another great session together."
