Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Began review for the student 's upcoming test. All areas are previous topics, save for log rules and some other small variance. He was a lot more keen on the rate problems than before. More practice will come on the same problems on Tuesday."
"We worked on her homework, which consisted of sum and difference formula problems. Much better by the end!"
"The student and I went over his previous tests today to prepare for his final tomorrow. We will be meeting again tomorrow for 1.5 hours to finish out."
"On Saturday, I met with this student for the first time. He and I went over his homework, thus far, and reviewed concepts he was unfamiliar with. He seemed pretty confident with most of the material and only had minimal conceptual questions pertaining to even/ odd functions, range and domain, and some word problems. So far in class, they have only reviewed last year's material and he is afraid that he will struggle once the new material starts."
"I went over finding roots of polynomials and division of polynomials, going over long division of polynomials and synthetic division. Overall, the student has a very improved understanding of what to do to solve a variety of problems using division."
"Today we began with pre-calculus by going over some of the student's homework problems as a review for her quiz tomorrow. The material was mostly review, and included linear equations (making equations from graphs or given information, such as parallel or perpendicular to given lines, etc.) and circles (making equations from graphs, using both the standard and general forms of the circle equation). She did not show any difficulty with the material; I would say that she is fully prepared for her quiz (in fact, I would be shocked if she doesn't receive an A). Due to her exceptional grasp of the material, we finished her math early, so we spent the last 30 minutes of the session working on physics. She completed her homework assignments for physics. They were related to displacement and velocity problems. Once again, she did not show any difficulty with this material."
