Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today we continued transformations and translations of functions and identifying parent functions. She has homework problems she still must complete. She must remember to practice when we aren't in our tutoring session and to try and remember the parent functions and the procedures to transform them."
"This session, we covered the free response portion of the AP exam. After the student answered the problems, I went over how the scorers may grade his answers according to the official grading guidelines. Overall, I think we made good progress."
"We went over multiplication, where the student was allowed to practice multiplying multiple digit numbers and decimals by powers of ten. He is making progress."
"The student and I met together again this weekend to go over some more of the review packets that she had for her upcoming Monday exam. This included solving probabilities using trees, tables, diagrams, stem and leaf plots, pie charts, linear regressions, etc. It also included basically everything we have been going over this past quarter. Going over everything was a good reminder for her since these are concepts that we had gone over weeks/months ago."
"The student and I continued preparing for his Algebra 2 final. We focused our review primarily on quadratic functions. We discussed graphs of parabolas as well as circles. In addition, we reviewed logarithms and systems of equations for a second time. He expressed confidence in being able to do well on his exam."
"Today the student and I worked on her math homework. It involved finding the invert relationship and find products of polynomials and simplification. We will begin review for her finals next session and I will have a better understanding of where she is in her understanding then."
