Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"During this session, the student worked through a few of her mistakes from the second fourth grade test and about half of the problems from the seventh and eighth grade tests. She was quieter and more attentive this session."
"Today we started to complete the student's end of unit book problems. He does well with graphing the systems. When solving using elimination and substitution he sometimes struggles with the first step of solving. Once he completed one sample he is usually is able to complete the rest of the problems using the same method. I encouraged him to pause when working with negative numbers and make sure he is using the correct sign."
"The student and I worked on her homework, which involved solving algebraic inequalities. We then worked on repeating decimals and converting between fractions and decimals. She is doing well and has improved her calculation skills remarkably quickly. I look forward to seeing her continued progress."
"I covered some statistics in algebra 2 and we analyzed mole conversions from the student's chemistry class. He was struggling in how comfortably he converted moles to volume and then to the number of particles. He had a good attitude during the entire tutoring session. I included a couple of online questions with a combination of his test questions. He took notes during our session."
"I covered the basics of integrals, inverse functions, derivatives, and integrals and unit circle. The student did great on recognizing the different integrals and derivatives. He needed more practice on the chain rule. The student's attitude towards the material is enthusiastic. I recommend going over example problems from the assigned book."
"Today, I helped the student prepare for her take home examination. We covered some topics the student was not familiar with (separation of variables and logarithmic differentiation), and we reviewed other topics like L'Hopital's Rule that she was not confident in. Overall, she did a great job picking up on the material, new and old."
