Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I had a session to recap his work on the assessment, as well as to establish how we were going to move forward with his remaining essays. Starting with our recap, I was extremely please to hear that he felt he performed very well and other than a few problems in the reading comprehension section, understood each and every concept thrown at him. His mother and I agreed that the area the student needs the most help in is English. I don't want to bore him by going over the same materials that he is reviewing in class. Rather we are going to focus on his English homework only if he feels overwhelmed. Otherwise, I will assign supplemental reading that is in line with what he is learning in class. The student seems very excited to continue working with me, particularly on subjects that stray from standardized tests."
"We went over cause and effect, example and category, and part and part questions. For homework, he will go over qualities, abilities, and other analogies from the test."
"We spent an hour on math and an hour on verbal, set up expectations and homework lists. We started by going through math properties, then some vocabulary in context with main ideas."
