Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student and I practice partial fraction decomposition today. I had to refresh him briefly on the procedure, but after that he had no trouble with it. He seemed to internalize the process very quickly."
"Today we covered chapter 4. This covered trigonometry as well as radians and measure of degrees. We also covered trigonometric functions and the unit circle, as well as right triangle trigonometry."
"I helped the student study for an exam she has this week on several topics including parabolas. She solved different types of problems and she did well."
"Reviewed for final exams. Covered the conjugate root theorem, arithmetic sequences and series, graphing rational functions, polynomial division, proof by induction and inequalities involving polynomials. I was able to answer his questions over proof by induction and graphing rational functions, and we made good progress."
"We reviewed for the student's math and physics tests today. We did a few problems in math that I came up with and went over a broad selection from the textbook. She seems very well prepared for the test. We also did a little work for her physics test."
"The student is working on inverse trig functions and establishing identities. He was pretty comfortable with inverse trig functions, so we spent most of our time on establishing identities. These are difficult because they have less-defined solution paths. This is also building on all of the identities learned in the last chapter, which can add to the difficulty. By the end of the session, he seemed to really be getting the hang of them."
