Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today we reviewed the numbers, colors and introduced the student to some basic communication phrases in Spanish. She has almost mastered 1-10 numbers and is improving in her color recognition although she has a hard time remembering certain colors. I will give her mom specific songs the student can listen to in order to help her familiarize her self with the language and words learned."
"Today the student and I did online exercises for practice which included listening exercises and grammar exercises. We also went over vocabulary. She said that she got a 100 on her last quiz which made me happy to hear! I notice major improvement from when we first started! No concerns for this session."
"Today the student and I talked about the use of comas in sentences, and how they can change the meaning of a phrase. After that, we started working with the simple past tenses using a new site. we practiced for a while to memorize concepts and then we listened to a song, translating words and understanding concepts."
"The student and I went over five words that each could remember easily. Then we did 2 pages in their textbook on food vocabulary, fruits and vegetables. Finally we played the memory game we made with Spanish vocabulary and the card game where we had to say the numbers in Spanish."
"The student and I covered classroom vocabulary, played charades and made sentences with prepositions used with estar. So far, he is making an 85 in his class, which is 5 points away from his 90 average goal. I have no concerns for this session."
"Today, we worked on a lot of pronunciation and verb conjugations. I have provided the student several exercises on work conjugation and we went over it and did some more practice. We also worked on vocabulary and some of the sentence structures with example exercise. I gave her some common phrases to study for her trip. I will provide more sentence structure examples to study so that she becomes more familiar with speaking the language. She is doing well and is motivated to learn more on the vocabulary side on her own. We will continue to work on vocabulary and verbs, and start to get into dative and accusative. We will also work more on initiating verbal communication."
