Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"During this session, fluids, pressure, and thermodynamics were reviewed. Online homework was touched upon, and chapter review questions for thermodynamics were covered."
"Today, the student and I discussed how to predict reactions and solubility guidelines. This involved looking at specific reactions and predicting which compounds would be created, as well as which ones are and are not soluble. We then went over a question provided by his teacher that covered thermodynamics and how it can be viewed in a laboratory setting. The session concluded with a brief overview of thermochemistry and comparing the reaction quotient to the equilibrium constant. He continues to need help with the polyatomic ions. I am going to continue to press the material on him, as this is a concept that is vital in order to be given points on the AP chemistry test. We will also be reviewing crucial equations that need to be understood in order to do well on the test. We will start meeting on Wednesdays, as well as Sundays, in order to prepare for the upcoming test early in May. I will be bringing an AP test review book in order to cover all of the concepts that need to be understood. These will be covered in the next month."
"The student worked on a homework assignment covering motion of rigid bodies. We went over the basic equations and concepts. Then we worked several problems together."
