Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"During this lesson, the student and I worked on the verb ser. We did a little conjugation chart before starting, and that was all she needed to do well on this verb. We reviewed her homework, a reading comprehension exercise, which included new vocabulary. We read through it first until she understood what was being said, and then she answered the questions. The last half hour, we practiced hearing comprehension: She wrote down sentences that I dictated to her. We finished the session with a general review of adjectives and ser."
"The student seems to have a very good grasp on verb conjugations. We lightly reviewed the differences between preterite vs. imperfect tenses."
"Since the student has an oral exam on Wednesday, we spent this session getting ready for that test. I went through various chapters that she has covered in her class and asked her questions so that she could practice the vocabulary and conjugating verbs. I believe that the session provided her with some of the practice she needed to do well on her test. She also mentioned that she received an A on her last test, and a perfect score on her portfolio (the highest grade her professor has given a student for this assignment)."
