"We studied for his test about describing famous paintings from Spanish speaking countries. We looked at different works of art and applied the use of adjectives to describe them."
"Today we went over the new vocabulary, reviewed it in English/Spanish and made notes for which phrases the teacher might have a particular definition (could vary by region). The student said he got a 98% on the last test (yay!) so we will keep the study method about writing sentences to practice vocabulary/subjunctive/indicative conjugations. We went over the 'hace que' construction and did oral examples of questions and answers. He grasps the format easily enough, but had some issues remembering the conjugations for the preterit tense. For practice at home, he is to write his sentences using preterit and to study the irregular verbs since there are quite a few of them. He sometimes mixes up preterit and imperfect ending, so reviewing preterit should help with that. Since they will be working on 'hace que' in class for the foreseeable future, it is important that he master the preterit tense and conjugations as they are used frequently. He did a good job with the vocabulary and the 'hace que' construction, so if he keeps up with the preterit he will be doing great."
"We had a new lesson about describing clothes. He learned new vocabulary, colors, materials and described how people are doing shopping in the stores."
