Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We read and discussed short story school assignment and completed all required questions. We went over vocabulary. We covered future tense."
"We covered formal commands and reviewed regular and irregular verb conjugations. I came up with most of the words and sentences for us to review and gave him some sentences to practice with his family."
"The student had begun a new Chapter: 7A, which focuses on the preparation of food, and items one might use in order to prepare them. We orally practiced the vocabulary. I gave her the English word and she used her vocabulary list to correctly identify both visually and orally the Spanish word. Afterwards, we completed 3 workbook pages, which used her new vocabulary words: Aceite, vinagre, ajo, picar, calentar, hervier in contextualized, two person dialogue format. She identified the correct vocabulary needed to complete the blanks in the storytelling dialogue form and later was able to answer questions based on pictures, related to what a specific person was doing in the kitchen. E.g. --- Que hace Paquita con el agua? What does Paquita do (or is doing) with the water? Answer: Paquita esta herviendo or (hierve) el agua en la estufa o en la olla. Paquita is boiling the water on the stove, or in the pot. She has an upcoming vocabulary later this week, for which she should now be well prepared."
