Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We went over finding surface area of different polygons and how to find arc measures and arc lengths for inscribed circles today. We also went over his final review."
"Today we reviewed for the student's final. It covered a wide range of topics including like triangles, the Pythagorean theorem, law of tangents/secants, elementary geometry proofs, and interior and exterior angle measurements."
"The student and I reviewed for his end of the semester test. Topics included material covered since his test, which covered factoring high degree polynomials. Methods included least common denominator, grouping, and perfect squares."
"We covered areas of various shapes, such as triangles, hexagons, and octagons, as well as finding the shaded areas of those shapes. We also covered perimeters. I included some strategies on how to approach geometry problems, such as always breaking shapes down into right triangles."
"I worked with the student on reviewing for his test on right triangles. He has improved a lot since the previous week, and he had a 23/25 on his last quiz to show for it. He knows all of the rules and shortcuts; he just needs to check his work to make sure the answers make sense. We also worked on heat and caloric equations in Chemistry. He just started the concept, so we went over a few of the introductory ideas along with the next section."
"Today, we continued working mostly on triangle and circle problems, some involving Ceva's theorem and the area of triangles with inscribed circles. It's been helpful for the student to email the worksheets to me before the session."
