Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today we reviewed Ch. 10 in her science book, covering echinoderms, insects, mollusk, and ecology. I sent two science practice exams via email."
"The student and I continued work on her current chemistry unit over atoms and the periodic table. We also spent time reviewing her algebra for an upcoming quiz."
"We worked on some pre-algebra, which consisted of cubic volume problems. We then moved on to start organizing his science project. Good work!"
"The student and I used Kirchhoff's laws to analyze several circuits. As we stepped through the problem, I pointed out several key features that point towards developing an intuition for working well with circuits. Basically these views are sorts of checks that one can do in the middle of the problem to either develop confidence that the current approach is solid, or vigilance if it may be flawed. She was able to finish the entire homework set with only a few points of guidance/ corrections here or there."
"We covered a practice test regarding oscillations. The student had very little experience dealing with oscillations prior to today, so the lesson was a lot of working on problems with detailed explanations of concepts and important formulas."
"This session was to make sure the student was up to speed with her new material. We went through a PowerPoint detailing various topics and equations. She was pretty good with most of the material, and I later sent her some additional material to help her review. She let me know that the questions she had were answered by the end of the session."
