"In this tutoring session we reviewed a practice essay that had been assigned the prior week as preparation for a final, graded essay discussing the relevance of social media in the development of communications for young adults. Several sources of content was provided to the students as a basis for reference within the essay as means of defending the central argument. We started by reviewing and discussing his practice essay, looking at the grammatical errors, and reviewing the content and structure of the essay. He then rewrote his essay using the corrections made by his teacher, and we discussed and revised some of his argument to support his purported main theme. After the essay rewrite was completed, we reviewed a short practice sheet which looked at the use of ser/estar/haber in the present tense. He aced this practice sheet.
