Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student has an exam this week in chemistry on solutions and solvents. We spent the session reviewing key concepts from chapter 14: solubility, composition, molarity, mass percent, dilution/ concentration, stoichiometry with solutions, and precipitation reactions. We solidified understandings of the definitions of solution, solvent, solute, aqueous solution, saturated and unsaturated, and concentrated and dilute. She then explained the meanings of mass percent and molarity. Her class has not yet covered stoichiometry but it will be on the test, and so we prepped her for that new topic by walking through an example problem and how to solve it. This is good material for a flashcard. Best of luck on the chemistry test!"
"During this session, the student and I worked through a lab write-up on enthalpy and Hess' law. We also reviewed as much as we could for a test retake. We didn't have the test, so we tried to help her remember the questions that gave her difficulties."
