Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We went over pronouns and food vocabulary for his test tomorrow. We then played a round of Zap! which practices conjugation of ar, er, and ir verbs. Finally we practiced translating sentences, both English to Spanish, and Spanish to English. I left the student with 2 short answer questions for homework. The student is doing a great job with conjugations and knows 95% of his vocab for tomorrow with no extra prompting. We will meet again in April."
"We spent a large part of the session speaking in Spanish. The new concepts covered in this session were demonstrative adjectives and pronouns. We also covered new vocabulary to talk about buying things and prices. I left them with practice homework as well as some new concepts to review before the next class."
"Student 1 and I played his new Lego toy today. We built a set of cars and buildings as a team. He played well. He understood more Chinese now, but still prefers to speak English instead, I'll gradually make him speak more Chinese. Today's main words were: seat, done, found it and look. Student 2 and I played plasticine and we made a "pizza". While cooking a pizza, we reviewed colors, and learned new ingredients as the vocab of the day: broccoli, tomato, strawberry, mushroom. She also learned how to say: I and open."
