Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student was learning about the ratio of volumes and surface area for similar volumes. We focused on that the whole time, but by the end of the session, he seemed to have a much better understanding of it."
"I worked with the student on finding surface area, volume, and areas of regular shapes. He knows all of the steps, but needs to keep practicing them."
"Final review: nets, trig functions, similarity/congruence, roots of quadratics, reflections/translations."
"The student and I reviewed the various properties, definitions, postulates, and theorems. Then, we did some practice problems together. It seemed that she did not have a solid understanding of the different definitions and properties. Once we reviewed some of the concepts, she began to put them together in a sequence in proofs. I recommended that she review the class notes again. We will meet again on Thursday."
"Today, the student and I went over some of the review he will see in geometry tomorrow. He has an upcoming exam on Friday, so we began to review."
"We discussed rotations of geometric figures. The student is doing well with her homework and understanding the concepts when we sit down to do it. Her translation and rotation project is looking good as well. I was also very happy to see her using her planner and trying to stay a bit more organized. She has a lot of assignments, so the more organized, she is the sooner she can start them."
