Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today the student and I did a review for her quiz tomorrow. She did a great job and really understood the material and she should be very well prepared for her quiz tomorrow."
"I reviewed the next unit on acids and bases with the student and explained the online notes her teacher posted on topics including pH, strong and weak acids/ bases, neutralization, and titration."
"The student and I began by reviewing the notes she took in class between Wed. and Thurs. They were an introduction to thermodynamics and just covered the concepts of energy, heat, and temperature. She had some very good questions, which we discussed, but they have not begun problems yet. She has not yet taken the final exam from last trimester's chemistry class. She said that she is going to take it on Monday and that she wanted to review. She still had a stack of practice problems I had left for her. We began by reviewing naming compounds and the polyatomic ions. She said that she has flashcards she will study for the polyatomic ions. We then did a few problems related to solutions, which I walked her through. The processes seemed to be coming back to her by the end of the session. We will review again on Saturday, and I left her with more practice problems based on what we did today."
