Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"We continued units 1 & 2. I gave the student a little extra practice with exponents to help solidify the rules/ concepts of the notation and what it means."
"Today, the student and I worked on: Pre-Calc: Unit circle, finding terminal points with radian angle, determining quadrants Physics: Newton's Law force-cart lab"
"We continued our session from earlier in the week on inverse trigonometric functions. I also worked on basic physics principles such as forces, velocity, and acceleration."
"We split the time between Pre-Calculus and AP Biology. The student had a little math homework on synthetically dividing polynomials by binomials. She did this in Algebra 2, so it wasn't too difficult. She has an AP Bio test tomorrow. We went over the math for the Hardy-Weinberg Theory and then looked at her Blast lab. We are meeting again on Monday because she has a test the next day."
"Graphing variations of trigonometric equations is simpler than it seems. After an explanation of where to find amplitude and how to calculate period length, the student could easily graph equations in a few seconds and locate 5 coordinates on the graph."
"The majority of this session was used to go through the student's midterm exam. He has shown a lot of improvement so far, and he was able to get through the whole exam in just an hour with minimal assistance."
