"The student and I worked on electricity. We discussed the properties of Coulomb's Law. We were able to find the charge of an object give the number of electrons or protons the object had. Then we used this to calculate the force of one charged particle on another. We compared the relationship to that of the force of gravity from one object to another. We also looked at how multiple objects apply a force on one and how they add up or cancel out. There was a lot of information given in this lesson."
"We covered inequalities. The student felt happy with the material covered. I gave the student an application with inequalities. There are no concerns with this practice."
"We worked on changing decimals to fractions. We then reviewed a number of topics including addition and subtraction of large numbers, finding the perimeter of a rectangle, and finding the missing term of a sequence. The session went well."
"We went over her test on exponents, as well as graphing polynomial functions. She made some minor errors on her test that prevented her from doing well, but we are working on them."
"The student reported that he had done a PowerPoint on angles. I pulled up the unit in the math book and we worked on intro to geometry. definitions, how to figure the measure of angles, area of triangles, rectangles, and squares."
"We continued the review for the student's sectional exam coming up in the first week of March. She's doing very well. Other than being a little bit rusty on the 'chain rule' she's doing very well. The is the best calculus student I've ever had, and that is not an exaggeration."
