Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today the student and I worked on a science report relating to an experiment he did in class, some math homework, and a geography assignment identifying the world's largest cities. He did extremely well on all of these assignments. He wrote well and understood the concepts of his science work, breezed through his math, and quickly identified the largest cities on the world map. He is doing a fantastic job with his studies!"
"We reviewed material for a test on Tuesday and covered graphing exponential and logarithm functions using transformations, asymptotes, and tracking points. The student has a good handle on the material."
"We mainly went over the student's homework today, covering quadrilaterals and area v. circumference in circles. She seems to be catching on quite quickly with both these topics."
"The student and I worked hard at reviewing how to multiply fractions and whole numbers, as well as using reciprocals. By the end of the session, he had a very clear understanding of how to best approach these problems. Additionally, there have been some excellent notes of progress, in the form of him getting a 90% on his last quiz and a 100% on his quiz before that (significant improvements from the past). I sincerely look forward to seeing him do well on the quizzes and tests moving forward!"
"The student worked problems on circles. He did problems with central angles and also inscribed angles. Then he worked problems involving tangent-secant angles and secant-secant angles. He also found missing segments with circle and two secants. He showed good understanding."
"The student went over review for test # 3, which covers logarithm, exponential functions, and composite functions, as well as inverse functions. I believe that the student will do well on this test. The student struggled a little with past math skills (finding common denominator, for example), but is overall quite a quick learner."
