Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Today we focused exclusively on the present tense of the subjunctive mode. the student sent me a PowerPoint made by her teacher, and we went through the PowerPoint together, slide by slide, discussing the content. The student asked some good questions and I believe we made progress. We then worked through several exercises from my grammar manual about the subjunctive. The student is having a little bit of trouble determining who the subject of the relative clause is, but she has a good grasp of when to use the subjunctive and when to use the indicative. She did a great job!"
"We conversed in Spanish for a bit. The student read a lot of the Snow White story. She did really well, and understands nearly perfectly. We highlighted some vocab words and reviewed a little subj and preterit and imperfect. We will continue that next week. I'll send her a link, like I did last week, of some exercises to do. She took a subj quiz online and got 100% and did the activities I encouraged her to do! She doesn't feel completely comfortable speaking subj, so we'll have a conversation that focuses on subj next week. Doing well!!!"
"The student and I began our session by reviewing, studying, and making flashcards for her vocabulary test tomorrow. She was able to remember all the words after one or two tries. I made a quick practice test for her as well and she did great. After, we began working on her Spanish Lab. We got through some questions and were able to practice reading, conjugating, writing, and listening."
