"When I ran the test-prep program in Missouri, numerous students experienced high levels of success in improving not only their test scores, but also the skills these tests measure. I taught students who started at 25 on the ACT and ended up at 34, but at least as satisfying were those students who started at 14 and eventually achieved 19. More important than such external measurements, however, is the individual student's knowledge that he or she has come into possession of, and internalized, a set of tools useful for further learning.
