I also have experience tutoring the GRE and the GMAT in a one-on-one setting. My tutoring style is influenced by my background in philosophy. "I'm drawn to that period because it was the start of English literature as we know it--the printing press was just beginning to take off, commercial theaters were opening for the first time, and suddenly there was a huge demand for fiction. Authors hadn't written on this scale before, and so they were incredibly inventive (and more than a little strange)--they could mix fantasy, romance, serious religious allegory, political satire, and crude humor, for example, into one very entertaining book. I've been tutoring high school students for the past three years. My goal in tutoring is for my students to learn what questions they need to ask ...
