Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"My daily routine, habitual activities. Review numbers, the time and demonstrative adjectives. Regular and irregular verb conjugations. Homework: from textbook, 2 exercises and two writing pieces "My Daily Routine" and "My Mother's Daily Routine.""
"We reviewed present tense verbs today. The student mentioned that she wanted to focus on present tense verbs, make sure she had those down, and then get back to past tense. We did exercises on a website so she could practice use of present tense verbs. Good session."
"Today I began reading to the students in the garden area near the museum. We explored the ancient mummy section and also the insect hall where the children got to interact with several insects. I will email their mother some of the new vocabulary words we learned so that she can use them at home with the children."
"The student and I continued translating sentences with the vocab and words we had already practiced. We continued covering other topics as they came up such as interrogative words. We also covered verb confusion between creer/pensar and saber/conocer."
"The student and I finished the third chapter in his book. Vocabulary was easy for him to grasp. We spent the remaining time in the session going over the verbs he had learned over the course of three chapters and then moved on to conjugation of -ar verbs which will be an important tool of him as the year progresses."
"We went over some vocabulary flashcards, and the student's pronunciation is very good. I also gave him some tips on some beginning French books for vocabulary and grammar for him to buy."
