Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"Worked on electron domains, bond angles, molecular geometry, and predicting heat of vaporization based on the molecular geometry and number of electrons."
"Today, the student and I had test prep on topics including acids and bases, titrations, titration curves, Ka, Kb, pKa, Kw. We also answered practice test problems."
"The student is now in chemistry 2 and is covering very different material than in the previous trimester. She and I covered ionic, polar covalent, and non-polar covalent bonds. I also taught her how to draw Lewis Structures. Her textbook is online. I will bring notes on these topics and others that will be on her next test (scheduled for 3/25) to our next session. She had a worksheet she needed to complete that provided excellent practice. It took her step-by-step through the process of drawing Lewis structures and identifying the types of bonds. The worksheet also asked for molecular geometries, which I will review with her during our next session."
