Recent Tutoring Session Reviews
"The student worked on her composition for Spanish class, discussing sports at school. When I arrived, she had already written the first paragraph on her own and gotten approval from her teacher. We worked on the second paragraph together. She has definitely gotten more comfortable writing in Spanish, and was able to write the essay almost entirely independently, with just a bit of prompting and vocabulary help from me throughout. We used our extra time at the end to review the mechanics for telling time."
"During the session we practiced counting, listening and comprehension as well as some old and new vocabulary words. I am working with the student on the proper pronunciation of words he's studying in school and he seems to be picking up pretty fast. We put together simple conversations and practiced male and female forms of words. The win of this session was that we figured out a fun game that he enjoys and one that I can use to introduce new words and expressions in every new session. He is a very bright kid and I am happy to see him excited about learning Spanish!"
"Today, the student and I reviewed the alphabet, discussing the consonants and vowels. She completed an activity where she had to write down the first letter in the word that she heard. She also had to listen to the sound of each letter and then write down the correct letter. She was left with flashcards to review the letters. I also reviewed her spelling homework."
