"[COVERED]: We discussed two passages from the AAMC Verbal sets, one on physician ethics, and the other on political self-identification. [PROGRESS/CHALLENGES]: The student appreciated the simplified vocabulary and cultural contexts. In addition to his previous insights of recognizing themes in passage structure, he also recognized the topical similarities between the passages: a liberal bent on sociological, political, and philosophical passages. This is good, as recognizing the content areas will help him overcome his language deficit. [EXTRA PRACTICE]: The student will continue to work on Verbal. [CONCERNS]: None."
"We spent the session working on verbal questions (one blank, two answers) as well as some Reading Comprehension. I have seen improvement in both areas, especially in verbal. With the amount of effort she has put into her practice, I'm confident that she will do fine on her exam."
