"We discussed a verbal passage about the difference between classical liberalism and multiculturalism. The sociological concepts and the grammar were both tricky, so the student had had some confusion with that. The sociological context was the hardest part of the passage to understand, as the student had never really heard of them, so the analogies within the passage were not especially helpful. I assigned her more passage practice for homework."
"We did plenty of data sufficiency -- the problems I chose were on the tough end, but the student did well on them. We then moved to critical reasoning, and I saw some nice improvement!"
"The student and I continued our math review by starting applied arithmetic. We covered rates, work, functions, and probability. Next we will turn to permutations and combinations. We will then turn to sentence correction."
